Yes I realize it has been a week, ok two weeks, since I have last posted a blog so I will update you on my life so far...

This past week has been nothing exciting I am ashamed to admit - the weather has been nice and on the days I ventured out it was wonderful to not have to wear 17 layers to be able to function. Spring Break is a week away which is a marvelous thought. In two weeks I will be sitting on the beach somewhere in Southern France soaking up the sun (hopefully). I am so excited to go to all these new places and experience their culture/food/sights!

Some exciting things/events that did take place this week:

-First day of Spring - come on that is way exciting for us over here in Scotland!
-Rooming situation for senior year - Katelyn scored awesome #49 so roomies may have a shot of getting a Western shore dorm (fingers crossed)
-Two and half seasons of "How I met your mother" down! 2 and half more to go!
-All hostels for spring break - booked! Well, 10% deposits paid anyways.
-Belfast, Ireland trip - completely booked!
- My hair may finally be seeing some blonde it in after being stuck in a dark abyss for the last 2 months. Finally Spring has arrived -- and yet the Rita's water ice festivities were missed.
-Awesome Hall Social held last night for Melville - free pizza, beer, and Fisher and Donaldson doughnuts were had! Too bad we were too late to get the fudge doughnuts. Always a next time!
- Two new movies viewed - and yes both consisted of reading subtitles. Carmen and Mongo were the films - now I feel even more cultured!

And some not so exciting things that took place this week:

- As mentioned previously, the Rita's water ice festivities were missed out by all.
-As mentioned above, room draw shall be successful this year - however, my rooming number was #175 out of 350 - could I really be any more average?
- I realized I actually DO have a final in my war of peace class, what a bummer! I was hoping to slide by on just one final this semester.
-Another 3am fire drill this morning - I'm really not sure why this keeps happening, it is the second one in two weeks. We all obviously are capable of walking out of the building if a fire were to occur - I understand safety aspects.. but really? 3 am?
- Picked classes for senior year - it will probably be a killer semester with a thesis on top.
- The electrical service man came into my room Tuesday and told me I couldn't have my American converter in the UK because it transfers currency differently. Thus, my converter was revoked and I had to buy another one. He said he has taken almost every Americans converter because they are unsafe by UK standards.
-I realized maybe the reason my Mac Battery has expanded/exploded was due to the malfunction of American converters - possible lawsuit in process against Best Buy?

That has been my week in a nutshell - tonight, since it is Sunday and no dinner is served, me and two friends are going out to The Grill House for some authentic (ok not really) Mexican food! I don't think anyone has ever been so excited for Scottish-Mexican food! Plus, their margaritas are amazing! I will try to update this week!
